4月初め、中国では湖北省を除いて、22の省と4つの直轄市で学校が再開した。保護者らは混雑した教室や寮が最も防疫の脆弱な場所であることを憂慮している。特に無症状感染者がいるため、非常に危険であると懸念している。

昼食の時間に、中学生たちはグラウンドで整列して、互いに距離を置いて食事をとっている。小学校では生徒たちが教室で順番に食事をしている。生徒の半分が食べ終わるまで、隣の生徒たちはマスクをしたままじっと待っている。

4月13日夜、防護服姿の職員と救急車が、河南省平頂山市第二中学校に現れ、生徒四人が運ばれていった。

「120（救急車）がまた来た。全身防護服を着て、何人もの子供を運んで行った。ここは（河南省平頂山市）第二中学校だ。子供四人を運んで行った。見ていて、恐ろしいわ」

これに先立ち、中国でも最初に学校を再開させた貴州省では、高校3年生と中学3年生の授業が3月16日からスタートした。3月27日、地元メディアが209名の生徒に発熱や腹痛、下痢の症状が現れたと報道した。中国当局は不衛生な飲料水による食中毒が原因だと発表したが、多くの人は生徒らが中共ウイルスに集団感染していると疑っている。

 

Four students in Henan Infected after School Reopens

China’s K-12 schools in 22 provinces and four municipalities have reopened as of early April. Parents are very worried that the crowded classrooms and dorms are the most vulnerable places for epidemic control.

During lunchtime, older students stand in rows to keep a distance from one another. The younger students take turns to eat inside the classroom—when one row is eating, the adjacent row waits with masks on for their turn.

Guizhou Province was the first province in China to have students go back to school. The graduating classes started the new semester on March 16. Ten days later, local media reported that 209 students had fever, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Although Chinese authorities claimed that it was due to unsanitary drinking water, many suspect that these students have been infected with the CCP virus.
